Auto shopping made easy.

Seamless, from your browser to the lot.
The story

Old dogs, new tricks.

The automotive industry isn't the most innovative bunch when it comes to business technology. Buying a car has been the same since the 1950's.

Impactware is an automotive software provider that has been trying to modernize the way people shop and buy vehicles. They wanted to pull a feature from their larger platform to create a lightweight customer acquisition solution.

Together, we looked at the shopping journey and identified specific barriers to eliminate. Shopping online was a requirement, but we zeroed-in on improving the on-lot and dealer hand-off experiences.

Visiting the dealership sucks, because we all know a sales rep will pounce within moments. We believe customers want to stroll the lot, scan VINs and calculate payments with their phone and, when they're ready, seamlessly continue their purchase with a sales rep.

That meant providing the sales team with a snapshot of that customer's journey at hand-off, managing new leads and tight integration with the dealer CRM. See how it all came together.
The mission

Shifting the paradigm in automotive.

The challenge of Easy Shopper was a two-sided coin. Rethink the way customers shop, while shifting perspectives on visiting the lot.

And change the way sales reps engage their customers at the dealership. The catalyst—the need to enact social distancing standards during the Covid pandemic.

Shopping experience

Browse vehicles in the digital showroom, request a test drive or schedule a trade-in estimate, save the stuff you like and share it all with your rep.

Tools for the lot

Wanna go to the dealership, get all the info you need, and avoid talking to any sales people? That's the dream, and Easy Shopper makes it possible.

Reporting

For this to work, the dealership needed to understand where customers were in their journey and when they wanted to engage.

Events

Sales events are on of the auto industries longest-standing tactics. Easy Shopper supports these by enabling contactless check-in and hand-off.
Shopping

Auto shopping could be better.

Take a look around the web. Most dealer websites are atrocious. Little congruency in brand guidelines and outdated UX provided us with a low bar for improving the customer experience.
Enticing landing pages, scannable vehicle listings and vehicle detail pages packed with info and tools to help consumers find the right vehicle.

Calculate monthly payments for lease or finance, request a test drive, schedule a trade-in estimate and save your favorites to discuss with the dealer.
Reporting

Know what customers are viewing.

This is where dealers and reps get their vital customer info, understand the performance of their program and review customer interests at hand-off.
We gave dealers a new level of visibility. By implementing detailed user event tracking, reps are able to see where customer interest lies.

Reports provide vehicle rankings based on customer views, how many VINs scanned on the lot each week, test drives requested and trade-ins scheduled.
Events

Fill the dealer funnel.

Getting customers into the dealership is a full-time job. That's why we built Easy Shopper to carry some of the load. No call center needed.
